8 Wonderful Affirmations For Blogging #BloggingGals #Bloggers

Blogging can be hard, frustrating and at times something which makes you think ‘why do I bother?’

A positive mindset is vital. It is something which will get you through the Negative Nancy days; when your blog stats flatline, your ideas for posts run dry and you see nothing but typos in things that have already been published. Sigh!

Repeating affirmations to yourself is a great way of staying positive. They will also make you a happier blogger.

  1. I love what I have created. Love your blog.
  2. My blogging glass is refillable. This means that you have control over your blog and that even when times are tough and the glass seems empty you can do things to it to make it seem full again like updating old posts, changing its theme, writing better posts and expanding your blogging network.
  3. My ability to blog will not be defined by my blogging stats on one particular day. This is about telling yourself that you are a good blogger and just because your stats flatline on a wet Tuesday at around 11.36am – it does not mean you cannot blog!
  4. My blog is growing, expanding and thriving. Keep believing it even if the stats tool says something else.
  5. I attract interesting and unique ideas for blog posts. This does work, just keep repeating. As soon as you start telling yourself that you can never think up an idea for a blog post all your creativity will vanish.
  6. I am grateful to all the people who read and follow my blog. Be grateful. Those blog readers and followers could be doing other things with their life instead of reading your blog.
  7. There are plenty of opportunities for everyone. Keep that mind open and positive.
  8. I am grateful to those bloggers who have prettier, better looking and more successful blogs than mine. They encourage me to work harder and challenge myself. Don’t get caught up in blog envy. Be grateful to the owner of the other blog you are jealous of / obsessed with. This is easier said than done so just try your best with this one.

Have a great day!

  1. It is true often I think, why bother? The blog started out with support from another blogger and now I am struggling on alone. But I have to admit every day is surprising and different especially when I get a “like” or “comment”.

  2. Being positive always helps! This was great advice and came to a good spot since I’m doing some blogging-thinking now that I’m on a little break. Perhaps I’ll repeat these enough and then come back with an even better blog!

  3. So true! And of course, a positive mindset is valuable in any area of our lives, and wherever it starts will spill over to…so thanks for these affirmations, and may they serve to bring you joy as they have served to inspire those who’ve read them. Happy Blogging! Harula x

      1. Aww that’s such a lovely thing to say, Lucy, thank you so much. I tend to write how I talk and I was worried that it would be the wrong kind of ‘voice’ but I’m happy to say that it works. What you see is what you get with me lol 🙂

  4. Thank you for this! I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. Because I love my blog, I realize that I should make a couple of changes. However, I need to love my blog for what it is right now… because it’s mine and it’s part of me. In the grand scheme of things, I guess loving my blog is a way for me to love myself?

anyway, thank you! Have a wonderful day!

  5. Ha ha. Entertaining post. A positive attitude is all one needs for everything we do in our lifetime.
There’s blog envy? Yikes. Na-na-na-na-na. It hadn’t occurred to me, but now that I know about it… I feel a touch of it coming on. o_O 😀

  6. I just could not go away your website before suggesting that I actually enjoyed the standard information an individual provide in your visitors?
Is gonna be again regularly in order to check up on new posts

  7. great post and a good reminder to not take the crunchy bits as fact they are just bits we stumble upon on the road to great blog and superb blogging. #ThrowbackThursday

  8. Nice! I especially love #5 and #6. Inspiration will always come as long as we stay positive, and gratitude is one of the best ways to elevate us into that inspirational zone!
