Following on from my post ‘How To Tell If Your Child Is Going To Be A Writer,’ I thought I should do a post on how to tell if your child is going to be a blogger.
You might already believe your child will be a future blogger, as they are a whiz on your tablet and can name all the main forms of social media.
But have you checked for the not so obvious signs?
Here are the signs of a future blogger:
- Your child spends hours building thriving and engaging communities with their toys or little friends at nursery / school.
- Your child will enjoy letting their toy or friendship community know how they are feeling, giving them some insight on how their day has gone and asking for feedback on their latest fancy dress outfit.
- Your child constantly compares the size of their toy community to the toy followings of their friends.
- Your child is keen to give actionable advice on a wide range of topics and resorts to drawing you some handy instructions.
- Your child likes to make things look pretty and visually appealing. They will be addicted to covering everything in sight with glitter, sparkly bits and fancy fabric pieces.
- From a young age your child has been keen to work out how they can monetize chores.
- They will want to make a difference in the world and want to understand how they can help others.
- They are keen to share adventures and experiences in their life with others.
- They will have a view or make a comment on EVERYTHING!
- At an early age they will have a good appreciation of fonts and know what works for them.
- They count their toy community everyday to check that there have been no changes to their overall follower count. If their figures are down and some plastic toy followers have gone missing – they will go into meltdown!
Have a fabulous day!
My aforementioned Granddaughter … absolutely … her cuddly toys … her knowing audience!
She sounds fab! π
Well that’s my daughter to a tee!!!!!
LOL! Wow – show her all you know Ritu π
Oh I shall!!!!! Looking good forward to having good a willing ear that wants to listen!!!
Lucy almost year on …. and she is always writing things and telling me she wants it blogged! She even, independently, went on her tablet and voted for bloggers for the ABBA’s π

Thank you for reading & happy Sunday Ksbeth π
Reblogged this on Don Massenzio's Blog.
This made me laugh! I’ve never noticed this with my nephew, but he seems to be vastly interested in storytelling. My mom has written a book, and he was working on his own book just yesterday. It was well illustrated for a 6-year-old. Apparently in his class, he’s been the only one in his age group in school that creates stories that are comprehensive. I wonder if he’ll become a writer. I’ll have to read the other blog you wrote about that. I’m playing catch up on my blog reading.
Hope you have a fabulous day!
Yes definitely a writer! Thanks for reading – always nice to see your lovely comments π
Lol – mine is still going “ba ba,” but I suspect she’ll grow to be a mean blogger, just like her Auntie Lucy π
Lol or a famous Greek author, like you?
Oh gosh, I hope she’ll be a little more famous than her old man! π
Thanks for the laugh, as always it was wonderful!! Wish I had something more to add to the conversation, other than my appreciation that is!
I do like it when you pop your virtual head around my virtual door π
Thanks! ππ»ππ»ππ»
Very funny and most likely all true!
Such a fab post! Really enjoyed it and giggling away thinking that’s me but just in child form so wonder if my mum could tell all those years ago π
There were signs of your future blogging life – sigh!
I’m still laughing at #3…
I was always do this as a child!
This is so absolutely adorable and spot on. Loved it!!
Thank you for reading π
I don’t know any children at the moment, but it fits a lot of adults of my acquaintance, but without the cuddly toys (as far as I know).
Thanks for reading π
Such a fun read – love it!
Love it Lucy; had me chuckling all the way. My eldest scored top marks in his English GCSE’s last year and displayed many if these traits as a youngling so I suspect at some point he will descend into the online world deeper. Probably has already as his mates seem to follow my pages already!!!
Gosh, maybe he is a covert blogger already and not wanting me to know!!!!
Oooh Gary – watch out! No one wants family rivalry in the blogging world π
Thanks to you I am filled with conspiracy theories; his mate are merely spying on numbers and reporting back!! Terrible state of affairs lol
You may be forced to ‘reblog’ his stuff – out of family loyalty etc and his stuff might do better than yours! #awkwardChristmas
Eek; I knew I liked the toddler age better!!! I may take up horticulture instead of blogging very shortly now !!!
I’m a little concerned that might be me to a T!! Lol
