Welcome to my weekly comedy series about a writing club.
I wanted to write a comedy about a group of crazy writers who meet on a regular basis and discuss their writing.
Here are the characters:
Matt – Writing Club leader. Sensible and relatively normal compared to the rest.
Moira – Romantic Fiction writer. Obsessed about her fictional character Major Tom and this causes friction with her husband Bob.
Richard – Military History writer. Obsessed about his Second World War fighter pilot character Grimes and likes to refer to his wife as ‘Mission Control’.
Karl – Comedy Writer. He is responsible for teasing and winding up the other writers.
Stacey – Apocalyptic Horror Writer. Has a dark side to her character.
Tina – Thriller Writer. Loves Pinterest, Twitter and her latest self published sequel.
Darcy – Chicklit Writer. Loves the research side to writing a book. Spends a lot of her time on Tinder and going on dates which she claims is valuable research for her books.
Suzie – Thriller Writer. A newcomer to the Writing Club.
Alfie – Coffee Shop owner. He spends his time shaking at his head in disbelief at some of the writer conversations.
