Blog Party To Celebrate My Book Cover Reveal #RomCom #CoverReveal

Welcome to my blog party to celebrate the book cover reveal of my debut romcom novel, Instructions For Falling In Love Again.

Thanks for coming. I LOVE your virtual party outfit – wow – you look great! My goodness you do scrub up well.

Hang on, didn’t you get the party brief about NOT outshining the party host in terms of a virtual party outfit? Obviously not.

*awkward silence*

Okay, putting our little outfit issue aside, I am so pleased you could make it. Have you travelled far?

Grab a glass of virtual fizz.

The great thing about virtual fizz is that you can have as many glasses as you like and you won’t have to go lie down later.

Make yourself at home.

I have been up all night cooking in my virtual kitchen. *Wipes sweaty brow*

You will be pleased to know the virtual buffet is ready and waiting.

Sausage rolls? I know what you’re thinking – baked to perfection, right?

Every party needs a cheese board. Even a virtual blog party.

Slice of cake and tea, served in fancy china? Only the best on this blog.

Okay, so I hope you have sunk a few glasses of fizz and stuffed your face with food.

I do find big announcements have a better reception when the audience has been fed and watered.

Here is my book cover reveal. Drum roll please…

I am very proud to reveal the book cover for my first romcom novel, out 30 June 2019.

What would you do if your late husband left you a list of instructions on how to fall in love with someone else?

Pippa Browning is faced with this exact dilemma, three years after the death of her husband, Dan.

Buried at the bottom of a drawer are a collection of notebooks full of Dan’s advice on how to live without him.

Pippa’s notebook is red and contains his instructions on how to fall in love again.

But Dan doesn’t just want Pippa to fall in love with anyone – Dan’s crazy suggestion is that Pippa should date his handsome friend, Mikey Stenton, a known thrill-seeking ladies’ man.

Reluctant to follow Dan’s advice, Pippa enters the world of dating. She embarks on a humorous journey of self-discovery, with the help of her children and two best friends.

It isn’t long before Pippa is finding it hard to ignore Dan’s instructions and Mikey Stenton.

Is Mikey really the man that everyone thinks him to be? Or was Dan right, and Mikey’s simply been misunderstood?

An uplifting and heart-warming story about bereavement, friendship and finding love, the second time around.

I hope you have enjoyed my virtual party, buffet and book cover reveal.

A huge thank you to my wonderful book cover designer, Kirsty McManus.

Have a great day 🙋🏼

  1. Wow Lucy. The Cover sure looks enticing. More than the party goodies you laid out. Congratulations and best wishes for the success of the book.
I love romcom movies and fiction!!! 🙂

Incidentally I’ll be coming out with my 1st EBook myself sometime this month. Its a Humor book of short stories. Hunting for a good Cover for it right now!! Fingers crossed!!!!

  2. Oh Lucy! This party is fabulous! 🤗
Love me some fizz and sausage rolls!
The cover looks absolutely amazing… The blurb makes me want to read NOW…😜
    It’s really happening!!!
Oh, and I’ve bought a bottle of pink gin, and baked some carrot cake! 😍

      1. Yes I do indeed and if you’d like to visit, post, Blog tour, I’d be so pleased to have you over 😘

  3. Congratulations on your book cover reveal and, of course on your book! I am writing this while still in my dressing gown so feel a little out of place amongst all these colourful party outfits! Best wishes – Kevin

  4. Congratulations on your upcoming release! I’m super excited for you!

Once you have the purchase links, give me a shout at and we’ll sort out an interview for Harry or Po (or both, if you can’t decide and want to have both of them interviewed). I’m booked for a couple of months, but I can schedule you for my next free slot(s).

P.S. If you don’t mind, I’ll just have some nibbles from the cheese board, and some of that cake and tea. I’m sure your fizz and sausage rolls are delightful, but I’m a vegetarian and don’t drink alcahol… Not even the virtual kind.

  5. Everyone should have parties like this, not just for book news either.
Thanks for the invite, I had a wonderful time and your book cannot fail to be well received, after this wonderful launch party!.

    1. Thank you Evie 😊 The self-publishing route is so scary but I have such learnt such a lot. Telling my family was interesting as they wanted me to get a deal. All I know is this story has to come out of me after 3 years, 12 drafts and a lot of love ❤️

  6. This is fantabuloglorious and yes I’ll have another sausage roll, thank you. We’re all tooting and rooting for you oh great blonde wonder…
